I got an "IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION required" e-mail after registering a domain or changing contact information. What does this mean?

These are legit e-mails being sent by ICANN since January 1st 2014 anytime a domain is registered or the registrant contact is changed. You need to click the confirmation link in the e-mail to ensure that your domain is not suspended by ICANN for review.
