A good Anti-Virus software program installed on a machine prevents the introduction of viruses and also detects the presence of potentially harmful Trojans and either automatically removes them or isolates them for user examination. A virus is a malicious piece of code or software program that is covertly introduced on to a computer system with the intent of corrupting data or inhibiting the normal operation of a computer system or network.
